The Willett Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation dedicated to the treatment of pulmonary fibrosis. The Foundation’s mission is to generate funds through private and corporate donations in support of pulmonary fibrosis patients whose insurance does not cover the full cost of life-saving lung transplant procedures.

It is sad and alarming how so many families find themselves in the difficult situation of having to secure additional funding for what has been medically determined to be a necessary and life-sparing treatment.

“The number of pulmonary fibrosis patients who cannot get life-saving lung transplants because their insurance companies will not cover the procedure is quite substantial. We get calls all the time and unfortunately, there is often not an answer for them.”

Dr. Michael Rosenzweig, President, Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation

The Foundation will work with eligible lung transplant recipients and their families to provide financial support for this life-saving surgical procedure.

Our initial recipient is Sallie Shea. Please go to Sallie’s Story to learn more about how you can graciously contribute to giving her the chance to lead a long and productive life.
